Students read "A Raisin in the Sun" to gather information about the set demands. Using this information, students design and create a 3D model of the set using a shoebox and art materials. Students are also expected to support their choices for the set design with at least five quotes from the play, along with a brief explanation as to why and what they selected to include in their design. 5=100%, 4=90-99%, 3=80-89%, 4=70-79%, 5=60-69%

After designing and building their set pieces, students write a journal reflection. Journals should describe what was built, how plan was used to build the final product, and reflect on the positives and negatives of the entire project.

Theatre Arts 20 students must be a part of the production crew for the spring drama production. They will be assigned to a specific crew (makeup, hair, house staff, running crew, lighting, or sound) and will be evaluated on their contributions to the production. Students must also write a reflection on their experience.
