Nursing Process for Disease, Illness, or Condition
Each students will research a disease, illness, or condition of their choosing and relay what was learned to the class. Information on the disease should include the physiology and etiology of the condition, as well as discussion of diagnostics, nursing assessments (subjective & objective), medical management, nursing diagnosis and planning and nursing interventions & special consideration. Rationales for nursing interventions should be explained and discussed. Presentations can be in any format that the student desires. A written summary of the presentation and research is to be handed in, and bibliography/references are to be included for assessment.

Body Systems and Homeostasis Group Presentation
Students in groups of 3, will research and present basic anatomy and physiology of an assigned body system, and relate the system to the body systems already covered in this course as to how they work together to maintain homeostasis of the body. Presentations may be in any format that the group decides. All members of the group will receive the same mark which will be determined by amount of research (bibliography/references to be provided), knowledge, presentation, creativity, and interest, as well as the ability to work as a team. This will include, participation, communication, and cooperation of all team members.

Clinical Rounds Presentation
Students will present an oral overview of a level III neonatal intensive care patient. This is a client that you may select independently while in a clinical rotation. This should be a patient with more than two clinical diagnoses. You are encouraged to choose a patient that presents a clinical condition that reflects an advanced level of learning. Follow the clinical guidelines for presentation and include the maternal history, infant's presentation (signs/symptoms), review of systems, physical assessment findings, laboratories/diagnostic tests, differential diagnoses, medications, management, and evidence-based practice.
