TESSELLATION PROJECT

STUDENTS WILL MAKE A SHAPE BY MANIPULATING A GIVEN POLYGON. STUDENTS WILL TRACE THE SHAPE REPEATEDLY ON A PIECE OF COMPUTER PAPER SO THERE ARE NO GAPS OR OVERLAPS AND THE ENTIRE PAGE IS FILLED. STUDENTS WILL COLOR THEIR TESSELLATION SO THAT NO POLYGON WITH EDGES TOUCHING WILL HAVE THE SAME COLOR.

Geometry Presentations

Students will pick terms from a hat, prepare a presentation on either Power Point or Google Docs, write the definition of each of their terms from the TEXTBOOK glossary (including a geometric picture demonstrating what the definition is stating pictorally), find and up-load 4 real-life pictures for EACH term, and then present their terms to the class including an explanation of their real-life pictures.
