Students work alone, with a partner, or in small groups to teach information from their assigned textbook sections.

Teaching groups will be randomly assigned a chapter of section of a chapter to present to the class.

This rubric is designed for a Spanish group presentation performance assessment in which the students will be presenting a grammar concept from the entire semester. Students will create a presentation demonstrating their understanding of the grammar concept and grammar usage in addition to any previous knowledge they have. Students are being graded both individually and as a group.

Students will recite and translate a fable in Spanish

You and a classmate will be taking a trip to an assigned Spanish speaking country. Like any good tourist, you must prepare yourself before you visit in order to get the most from your trip! You will need to research your country to learn about the culture, weather & climate, currency of the country, religion, foods, housing, famous landmarks and government. I also want to know what a round trip ticket would cost from Texas. Include all travel documents you will need to travel to that country as well. Divide up the work with your partner to complete Part 1 (RESEARCH & FORMAT), Part 2 (DRAW IT!) - Map & Flag and Part 3 (Oral Presentation) - Speaking & Culture

Students will create a skit in Spanish.

Using the vocab from Ch. 5B as well as previous chapters, present a skit to the class. As customers or waiter, there must be a problem or incident during the restaurant experience. By the end the problem should be resolved and the bill should be paid. Use of props is encouraged!

The following rubric will be used to grade your art critique.

Art History Research Project

Please create an art history lesson with abundant visual aids and an assessment activity to check your teaching and your audience's attention. You will research, explore and report on a topic of your choosing from the history of art and take 10 minutes to present your findings to the class using notes. You will submit a rough draft of your report and activity at least two classes prior to your presentation, and submit a final draft in class prior to your presentation.

Expected behaviors in class

The following rubric will be used to grade your reflective writing.

Students perform a Spanish skit, commercial or song and put into practice the vocabulary learned in class to date.

Using goanimate.com or by hand, create a cartoon dialogue using the verbs entrar, buscar, comprar and pensar, preferir and querer. Use the questions ¿En qué puedo servirle?, ¿Cómo me queda(n)? and ¿Cuánto cuesta(n)? Use at least three items of clothing, two prices, and the new vocabulary for demonstrative pronouns these, these that, and those.

Spanish I vocabulary and grammar lesson

Student will look at a certain area of Art History and develop a 4-5 layered diorama with in a small structure. This and the follow qualities should be met in finishing this work.
