Write a story about a boy or girl a city state that is being taken over by Sargon. Include details from what you’ve learned about life in Mesopotamia and the change when Sargon becomes leader. Here’s a word bank: flooding, irrigation, social class, artisan, merchant, scribe, bronze, surplus food, tribute, empire, overthrow. Describe how your characters and the setting look. Show how they feel by what they say and do. Use dialogue.
