Students create a character - based on an actual historically significant person - in which key questions are answered to describe the life and times of this person.

Students answer three research questions on an Australian colony and build a diorama based on these questions.

Write a letter from the perspective of a sailor on a ship of exploration in 1700s-1800s

Students are selecting a desert animal, researching and writing about their animal's survival in the desert, and creating a slide show presentation. The presentation should tell about where their animal lives, how their animal is adapted to survive in the desert, what their animal eats, what their animal looks like, and any interesting facts about their animal.

The student will create a Diorama which includes a historical scene from colonial Australia and an oral report describing the scene they chose (setting, important characters, how/why the scene was important to history, tell about the elements in their diorama and how they are related to the scene.

Create a slide show in which at least three key research questions are answered to describe life in one of the British colonies in Australia.
