Value Composition in Pencil. The composition demonstrates the students ability to suggest form using the element of Art: Value and the principle of composition. The image includes the 5 Principles of Shading: highlight, shade, shadow, reflected light and backshading.

Students will create a short video about their daily routine. Sentences will use reflexive verbs, details of your daily routine. Minimum of 10 frames must contain the use of different reflexive verbs as well as other verbs included in a daily routine. Purpose is to use reflexive verbs to discus your morning activities.

Students will create a MEMES presentation of 5 different scenes (per participant) that depict their daily routines or from a character/movie star/ etc... Each scene must include one sentence a reflexive verb, details of your daily routine. Minimum of 10 frames must contain the use of different reflexive verbs as well as other verbs included in a daily routine. Purpose is to use reflexive verbs to show your understanding of the verbs use.

Create a Self Portrait or Portrait painting using a selected medium and incorporate a personal style.

A rubric that properly evaluates the artistic process. It measures the various phases and approaches that are necessary in the assessment of a project or a work of art.

The student will create a relief printmaking block using carved linoleum. The student will print an edition of 6 and will chose the 4 best to mount.

Students will create a kinetic sculpture using wire and and paper, utilizing design and balance in their composition.

As part of a review of the principles of art, students will examine Paul Cezanne's still life paintings for use of principles of art. Students will create their own still life pieces with oil pastel using at least 3 principles of art, drawing on Paul Cezanne's still life artwork for inspiration.

Art I- Students will work towards SOL AI.1, AI.3, AI.7, and AI.8 by creating a mask. Art II- Students will work towards SOL AII.1, AII.5, AII.7, AII.8, and AII.9 by creating a mask. Art III- Students will work towards SOL AIII.1, AIII.6, AIII.7, and AIII.8 by creating a mask.

You and a classmate will be taking a trip to an assigned Spanish speaking country. Like any good tourist, you must prepare yourself before you visit in order to get the most from your trip! You will need to research your country to learn about the culture, weather & climate, currency of the country, religion, foods, housing, famous landmarks and government. I also want to know what a round trip ticket would cost from Texas. Include all travel documents you will need to travel to that country as well. Divide up the work with your partner to complete Part 1 (RESEARCH & FORMAT), Part 2 (DRAW IT!) - Map & Flag and Part 3 (Oral Presentation) - Speaking & Culture

Students will complete a drawing of half a photograph. Then they will draw the other side of the self-portrait abstractly by drawing who they don't think others see about them. They may use symbols, shapes, objects, and colors to represent their hidden side.
