Non-fiction book review/summary

Supreme Court Case with history and significance.

This rubric is used to assess students' responses in a one page essay to an assigned movie. This writing rubric is used in all academic subjects.

Create a 1 to 2 min infomercial using video. Video must be a commercial for a new invention of a product, or a parody of an existing one. Your infomercial must be a story line production in which you are trying to convince (persuade) someone to buy a specific product. You must have at least 10 sentences with 5 or more words and have audio to your video. A written script must accompany your presentation, as well as a storyboard. The use of props to enhance your video are strongly advised!

A reflection paper is all about your response to the presented material. Consider how the content you have experienced in class broadened your knowledge in the massage therapy field. A reflection paper is not a summary of the material or your thoughts dumped on paper. It is an organized and structured paper incorporating your personal reaction with classroom readings and notes. Be sure to cite specific passages in your paper.

This rubric assesses students' performance and output related to their historical resumes on an important historical figure during the American Revolution and Federalist Era in America. Counts as a FORMAL grade out of a possible (100 points) The assessment is based on the rubric below.

The students will put together a presentation with visual aids to show during their oral presentation. The presentation will contain information that the students collected regarding a topic. The oral presentation must be aligned with their visual aid.

This rubric will be used to assign points for your discussion board participation. Each discussion board post is worth 10 points. You will receive one point for posting an assignment by the due date. Additional points will be based on your contribution to the discussion.

Students will give a persuasive speech to their peers exploring one topic presented in The New York Times' article, "200 Prompts for Argumentative Writing." They will be assessed on use of persuasive language, content and style of delivery. Speeches need to be a minimum of 3 minutes long and no longer than 6 minutes.

Students choose a topic, follow the research process and create a multimedia presentation.

Rubric for skit presentations

Students will create a propaganda poster. Your poster must include at least one of the types of propaganda. You must also include on the back of the poster paragraph describing your poster and the type of propaganda being used. Be prepared to present you poster to the class.

Check list for grading a powerpoint and an oral presentation together.

Students will create, in groups, a collection of 6 storyboards depicting their assigned Greek myth. With photos of the storyboards, the groups willl then present their project to the class in a powerpoint presentation. Each student is expected to speak in the presentation.

Each category in the far left column represents a component of the project that will be taken into consideration when calculating the final grade for this assignment. Review the rubric carefully before, during and after the creation of the PowerPoint presentation, to ensure that all intended elements of your powerpoint have been represented and all other criteria have been met.

Students will write a "sensational" newspaper article about an event around the Spanish American War or Imperialism in general.
