Read some of the classic versions of the same tales from around the world in order to write their own adaptations to some of their favorite tales. There will be a focus on rehearsing and planning for stories, paying careful attention to tale language and structure through revising and elaborating, and crafting their own versions of an old tale, and adapt it to actual social issues.

Groups will create a PowerPoint, Prezi, or other presentation using technology. Each member will be responsible for their part of the presentation and all parts of the character presentation described in the handout will be followed.

The Seventh Man Project

This is a rubric determining on how well each frame short story was written.

Each student will create one of the following: a model, brochure, newspaper article, powerpoint presentation or storybook that interprets their understanding of the epic poem, Beowulf.
