High School Chorus Assessment

Students will sing a portion of a song on which they are currently working. They will be assessed on that performance and this rubrics shows how that grade will be determined. This will part of oral test portion of the 4th quarter grade.

5Measure Melody Composition

In groups of 2-3, students will use common rhythms, simple time signatures, and simple melodic gestures to compose an 5 measure composition. Students will have numerous class periods to complete the assignment. Students will also turn in a self reflection describing the cognitive process they used in developing their composition.
