Students will know homework expectations which would include completeness, accuracy, requirements, legibility and time management.

This rubric is meant to help guide in the creation of your presentation. Each category in the far left column represents a component of the project that will be taken into consideration when calculating the final grade for this assignment. Review the rubric carefully before, during and after the creation of the PowerPoint presentation, to ensure that all intended elements of your PowerPoint have been represented and all other criteria have been met.

A paragraph is a group of sentences developing one topic. This rubric will assess how well students develop the topic and support main ideas within a written paragraph.

Poetry Portfolio: This project is the final assessment in the unit of Poetry. This is a 4 week task wherein students compile original poetry done in class showcasing the use of imagery, and other literary devices. Poems includes alphabet poems, cinquain, hexaduad, skeltonic verse and tanka all presented in one portfolio.
