A written summary is the crux of the project. Secondary is the visual piece. Chose a social issue topic that interests you. Research the history of this topic and its future outlook. The most important item to have a successful paper and project is a strong thesis. Interview two people concerning your issue and be sure to include at least two quotes from your interview in your summary. The written piece must be 1/2 -2 pages long. Both parts of this project are due on Wednesday, June 13th.

Pick a sociologist about whom you would like to know more. 1. Write a biography about that sociologist. It MUST include: a. birth/death b. family situation c. level of education/where educated d. the perspective 2. Explain the perspective. It MUST include: A concise and thorough description of the perspective; i.e. is it a. sociological perspective b. sociological structure c. sociological imagination d. how was the perspective explained e. how is the perspective used You may present this project in any way you want. You may write a paper, produce a power point, use a collage, make a poster, etc. Please see me to get your project approved before you begin it. Grading will be done according to the attached rubric.
