Rubric for Evaluating a Narrative Poem (Ballad)

A brief biography of Poe's life combined with a review of one of his stories

A report focusing on a main character

Use the pieces of a sandwich to create a complete book report

A book report showing student's ability to identify the elements of plot in a fiction book of choice.

Students will use this rubric to ensure that their ODE poems are written using the the required characterics.

Grade 6 Mrs. McDonald

Students will choose a specific topic to write a poem about. The students will go through the writing process (prewriting, drafting, editing, revising and publishing) to create a poem that contains 4 stanzas with 4 lines in each stanza. The poem will have a consistent rhyme scheme. The students will type their poems with each stanza single spaced and a double space between each stanza. Use Times New Roman, font #12, and a St. Joseph Heading
