Pretend your book has been made into a movie. Create a POSTER to advertise your "movie"(book). Your poster should be easy to read. Be creative, colorful, include a title, pictures, movie times, movie ratings and it must be laminated in some form. AVOID: Do NOT copy the Book's cover...this will result in a grade of zero. Also avoid, sloppy picture and lettering, colors that do not work together, late work and lack of effort. Your poster will not have white space---unless it is a part of the picture, a uniform, whites of people's eyes etc......

2 rubric Carter /Stallings Story Quilt Rubric       popup preview  
Several sample projects were shown and presented in class. The student had to choose a story or novel read in class this semester and create a story quilt. The story quilt required a title, the story must follow the stages of plot dev, letters must be typed and the project must reflect creativity. The quilt should be no larger than a poster board.

This project is considered late and it must be turned in no later than Wednesday in order to get a grade no higher than a 75. Students were informed of this project two weeks before the due date and shown several sample movie projects during class time. Use movie making techniques to recreate a movie scene from any previously produced professional movie. Movie project should include each student playing a role in the movie and it must be on a DVD that can be turned in and played in class and include a title, the teachers name, title of class, credits, or any other element to contribute to the final product.
