News Report Project

Students will be randomly divided into groups of three and use their news medium to communicate important information regarding their news story, event, or topic. The objective of the project is for students to use their understanding of how media effects politics to create and modify their own medium for the publics consumption. Students will apply principles and understandings learned in the unit to enhance their project.

Media's Influence of Politics: Graphic Organizer Rubric

Students will divide into groups of four and work together to answer three questions showing students understanding of how freedom of the press and the institution of media shapes public opinion and therefore the American political landscape. Students will complete a collaborative concept map answering three chief questions on the media’s influence on politics.
