Rubric for evaluating group/single presentations. An elevator pitch is an overview of a business idea. Investors often judge the quality of a business idea on the basis of the quality of its elevator pitch, and will ask entrepreneurs for the elevator pitches to quickly identify the GREAT ideas!

Evaluate the presentations on your Watch List using the following criteria. Add notes to comment on things you felt were noteworthy, done well, or other.

You must create a print advertisement for a new or improved product for your peer group.

Summative Assessment: Students will create a function graph demonstrating a real-world example of a function and its features.

Students will verify appropriate and accurate function features using a rubric

Students will test their knowledge of a function by outlining function features of a real-world function and dataset

Students will be able to share an example of a real-world dataset based on a function graph

Students will report the real-world scenario and problem by discussing the critical information need in data collection

Activity #1: Students will be able to reproduce the definitions and features of a function

Summary of Activity: You are a producer who can produce any product that you would like. This week the product we used in our examples was tacos. You can produce anything, within reason, that you would like. Create a price plan for your product. (See tacos example for explanation). Survey the class to determine individual and market demand for your product. Then, create a production plan and individual supply schedule. Graph all findings. Label the equilibrium in market supply and demand (where the supply and demand curves intersect). Identify the price you will charge and the amount you will produce.

The PowerPoint project revolves around break-even analysis and includes, as part of Part I designing and pricing a product, organizing a poll, and creating revenue and cost functions.
