Students will solve word problems using pictures along with addition and subtraction sentences. Students will work fact families and 3 digit addition problems. MGSE.2.OA.1 Use addition and subtraction within 100 to solve one- and two-step word problems involving situations of adding to, taking from, putting together, taking apart, and comparing, with unknowns in all positions, e.g., by using objects, drawings, and equations with a symbol for the unknown number to represent the problem.

Students will be able to determine the differences between urban, suburban, and rural communities.

Students fill out the animal habitat information sheet and create a diorama of one particular habitat. They must assign the correct animals and plants to that habitat.
