This rubric is to grade student's research of a human body system, describing it's function and the main organs or body parts involved . This board must also cover all of the objectives found int he syllabus corresponding to their particular body system. This board should supplement the research paper. Each student will give an oral presentation using their interactive poster/bulletin board. A bibliography must be pasted onto the back of the board with at least one non-internet resouce.

Students must create a model of an animal cell that accurately represents the parts that help the cell function.

You are presenting to a group of your peers about a piece of healthcare technology that was developed between 1914-2014. You will be responsible for explaining what the piece of technology is, the pros and cons of using the technology, creating a powerpoint presentation to assist your presentation, and writing 3 quiz questions about your technology. 20% Reduction in score if presentation is not given on November 3, 2014.

Learning Resource Center Assignment: Utilize the LRC to find examples of use and misuse of medical terminology to show what repercussions can happen when documentation is done with the wrong medical terminology. Example: Surgery on the wrong site or leg. The criteria are: - Individually identified information - Use of the LRC databases and resources - Well documented and referenced sources - Relevance to the course subject area

Evaluate a case report presented in Medical TV series and define the terminology used in the presentation.

The project is to design a poster describing assigned disease processes and an oral presentation.

Use movie making techniques to create a video or infomercial about one of the body systems or a disease. The infomercial should include a script, narrations, video, interviews, and full credits.

Create a board game with visuals to help increase student practice and understanding of tissues and anatomical terminology. This is due on September 30 and students will play all the games to assist with grading this project

Students prepare one short paper (3-5 pages) from a body system disorder. Citations must include 5 or more credible sources found in the LRC.
