Students are expected to complete the assigned reading and come to class fully prepared to discuss and critically analyze the reading material. Each class member is responsible for finding answers to questions that arise to enhance her own learning and the learning. Because of the format of this experiential learning opportunity, class discussion will be an even more critical component of this course. Each class will be spent discussing reading, experiences, reflections, and interviews we have had with individuals living in Ecuador.

For a total possible of 250 points, you will work in a group of 3-4 and write and present a lost episode of Destinos in Spanish. You will write a script for your episode and submit it for approval and revisions prior to filming. You must utilize characters, themes, and settings from the series you have watched in class. All video content must be school appropriate and in compliance with school policies outlined in the GHS student handbook. Video dialogue must be audible and clear and editing must not impede comprehension of the plot. Each group member must participate as a character on screen with spoken lines. Group roles (grammarian, equipment guru, set/location designer, costume/hair/makeup, director, and editor(s), etc.) will be determined by the group and established prior to filming.
