Students will identify different qualities of lines in artworks and in their world. They will learn Characteristics of lines and the elements of art. Students will use a variety of lines to create an abstract design.

Students will be assessed on how effectively they completed the assignment and demonstrated the use of the "rule of thirds".

The purpose of this assignment is for students to become familiar with photo composition. Students will shoot three digital photographs using the rule of thirds.
