Students will provide concise answers to content-based questions about the lesson. They will follow the format provided and use examples for support.

Score essay responses to capstone comprehensive examination. Rules: If appropriate to the task, all essay parts of the question will be scored in all four criteria. Accuracy, reasoning and problem solving will be summed over the number of essay question parts. If a criterion is not applicable (e.g. problem solving,) it will not be scored on that criterion and NA will be entered. Communication will be considered separately. If a student is not proficient in communication on 3 of the 4 questions, the student may not pass the essay with credit. Depending on the task, not all elements in each level of the criteria may be addressed.

A good reflection... 1. Is honest. 2. Answers the questions or responds to the statements. 3. Contains examples and details to support opinions and thoughts. 4. Informs the audience and gives useful information. 5. Shows that the person really thought about the question before writing down a response. 6. Shows personal perspective. 7. Is easily understood by the reader. It is free of spelling mistakes as well as confusing language. 8. Is based on what the person believes or thinks about what is asked. 9. Shows thinking.
