Recycle Jeans to create a unique design

The students will work on their own to put together a poster for display. The poster will contain relevant information directly related to the topic selected by the student. The poster should have areas segmented that directly reflect the outline created by the student. The poster will be designed on either poster board (full-sized poster board) or tri fold poster board. The student is required to explain their poster to the class and teacher

Students will perform a skit using vocabulary and story related to the current play that we are studying in class.

Students will interpret one of Shakespeare's sonnets as they read it and present it to the class.

This rubric will measure the abilities of students to thread a sewing machine and bobbin, use the sewing machine properly, complete a sewing project by hand stitching the remaining hole and completing first semester sewing projects.

Performance of a Two-Person scene written by classmates

The students will create a poster that explores, compares/contrasts, advertises, etc. various aspects of one or several character traits (good and/or bad). Consider creating wanted or missing posters; Venn diagrams; advertisements, etc.

Write a 8-10 minute presentation about a Musical Theatre Play. Include information about social context of the play, influences, the lyricst, the playwright, the actors/ actresses, any revivals, and examples of music from the play being performed today. A performance from the musical must be performed. It can be a song, dance, or an influential part that showcases the spirit of the musical. (Must provide your own music and/or materials)

Students will create their own African dance as a group and perform with a drum ensemble.
