This is for guided reading questions that students must complete.

Create 4 journal entries for a fictional - historical character. Each entry will be worth 25 points in the total project grade. 1st entry: character introduction. 2nd entry; describe the historical event. 3rd entry; character's thoughts on the event. 4th entry; how does the character see the future. Each entry should make connections to actual people, lifestyle and events of the historical period being studied and include at least 4 paragraphs with 5 sentences in each paragraph.

Write a five paragraph essay utilizing five paragraph essay structure. Your essay should be typed and in MLA format. Attach this rubric to your essay if your essay is turned in in hard copy format.

Use this rubric when writing news articles based on interview and using facts to support your analysis. Students will grade themselves using the rubric and turn in self-assessment and article to editor for grading.
