In groups of 4 students will choose a country within a specified area of Asia. The group is to work together to create a country profile and compare the country with Australia and present their information to the class.

Students choose a topic, follow the research process and create a multimedia presentation.

Each member of the group will grade the other members based on the participation and cooperation contributed to the group.

Create a character interview: Write at least ten questions that will give the character the opportunity to discuss his/her thoughts and feelings about his/her role in the story. Your questions should go beyond the who, where, what and when and focus on the how and why. Your interview should include the character’s answers from his or her point of view 3. In this project you will create a scrap book from the point of view of Janie. Your scrap book must include 5-6 photos that represent an important event in the novel (with brief notations as to who is pictured and what event from the novel the photo represents), 2 news paper clippings which you will write (can be a news article, obituary or letter to the editor—But, each article must represent a different event and each type of article may only be used once.) and one diary entry from Janie’s point of view about an important event in the novel and her feelings.
