This check-off will assess the student's ability to apply needle safety technique and skill.

Students will be in a simulated situation where one of the student will participate as being the victim and the other will be the first on site rescuer. The student will approach the situation with safety, identifying the symptoms, putting knowledge into action and treating the victim with proper first aid skills.

Practicum grade is based on two set of skills--clinical skills and professional skills--which are assessed based on developmental stages. A separate score is rated for clinical skills and professional skills. Then, the two scores are averaged and a letter grade is computed based upon the student's semester in practicum.

Evaluate students performance/skills in Lab phase.

Students will demonstrate their knowledge in applying splints, using a variety of hands on supplies and materials.

OSCE

OSCE stand for Objective Structure Clinical Exercise. Students will be assessed on skill sets related to MFT Core Competencies.

This is a rubric to use to assist students in building skills as they relate to Athletic Training injury/illness assessment. Additionally, the purpose is to build students' ability to navigate an injury/illness assessment while also developing a strong different assessment rationale.

Students will learn and practice principles of pharmacology, administration of injections, electrocardiography, and CPR.

Rubric will be used to score teacher and student behaviors during instruction in laboratory.

Scoring steps required for completion of skill as well as sterile technique. No points are assigned in order that the instructor may take the total amount of points alloted to skills then designate each skill a certain point amount from this total. The point allotment for each skill may then be broken down within the rubric. The rubric is designed to account for C, B, and A levels of competency, (70%, 80% AND 90%). Any skills below this level should be repeated.
