3 rubric 3D Model of a Cell       popup preview  
Purpose: Produce a 3D model of a plant cell and an animal cell, to better understand the structure and the workings of these types of cells. You will work with a partner to construct a model made of edible materials that meets the criteria listed below. You are responsible for creating a key with a list of all the organelles in each model. Although you are splitting up the work with a partner both of you are responsible for knowing the different structures of each model and the functions of the organelles. Once the models have been completed you and your partner will be assessed with an identification quiz using your models. REMEMBER: Science is not edible but anything that you do not use to construct the model maybe ingested.

Students will build Bottle Biology Ecosystems and model three ecosystems (aquatic, decomposition, terrestrial). These will have to be self-sustaining and include 5 biotic and 5 abiotic factors in each.
