The task is to build a structure, i.e. A WORKING PULLEY (Mining theme), using the knowledge you will gain in class. You will have to submit a model and a booklet containing a design brief. The structure may be built from any material but must resemble a mining headgear and shaft. The structure will be tested in class to see that it completes its function.

The task is to build a structure, i.e. A BRIDGE, using the knowledge you will gain in class. You will have to submit a bridge, a booklet and do a presentation. The structure may only contain paper, glue and string. the structure will be tested in class.

5 rubric Grade 8 - Timeline speech       popup preview  
The students must choose a speech from their timeline created in History. The speech must be at least 30 lines long. The student must select five passages from their timeline between one or two lines long and explain the meaning and importance of that event. The events will be talked about in a short presentation the student must give.
