Students will demonstrate their knowledge of paragraph organization by writing a 3-paragraph essay utilizing the writing process of planning, organizing, writing, evaluating and presenting the essay in relation to their reaction on the piece.

Students will know homework expectations which would include completeness, accuracy, requirements, legibility and time management.

Students will perform a skit to demonstrate mastery of vocabulary related to greetings and introductions. Students are working in groups of 2-3 students. Students must prepare a brief skit (3 minutes to 5 minutes) that include phrases and expressions related to greetings and introductions. Each group will have 45 minutes to write their skits and should be prepared to act out their skits. While the skits are being performed, class members are to observe and listen.

Dialogue

Create a description of yourself and three other people on computer or construction paper. Divide the paper into sections. Use one section to describe each person -- yourself and the three other people. Each section must include a picture of the person (magazine clipping, picture or drawing), two sentences describing who the person is and three sentences describing what the person likes or doesn't like.
