This rubric is meant to help guide in the creation of your Google Slide Truth About Drugs presentation project. Each category in the far left column represents a component of the project that will be taken into consideration when calculating the final grade for this assignment. Review the rubric carefully before, during and after the creation of the Google Slide presentation, to ensure that all intended elements of your Google Slide have been represented and all other criteria have been met.

The Truth about Drugs Project is worth 40 points. There are a variety of options and topics for you to choose from to complete this project. The project due date for this project is Tuesday, November 15th for Ms. Doan and Thursday, November 17th for Mr Reed. You will have two class periods to work on your project. You may work as an individual or have one partner to complete this project. There is one option that will only be available for individual projects.

Assess the ability of students to demonstrate proficiency in football throwing.

Secondary evaluation of the fundemental skill of passing and catching a football. Students are rated and scored on the mechanics of their passing and catching is the primary emphasis and accuracy is the secondary emphasis. There are 18 points possible.

You are to design a billboard for the organization Alcohol 4 Real. The billboard must be a creative billboard to attract people's attention. The billboards focus needs to be on one of the three topics 1. How alcohol affects the body 2. Long-term health risks of drinking alcohol 3. Reasons why kids and teens shouldn't drink. Remember, people will see these billboards as they are driving in their cars, so your designs should be simple, clear, colorful and easy to read.

30 Points

Research the approved topic. Submit a 2-4 page typed paper, double spaced, 12 point font following MLA guidelines. Include a Works Cited or Works Consulted page citing at least 4 resources used in researching the paper. Paper will be graded on quality of research to support the topic, effective use of information gained through research, credibility of sources, content, grammar and mechanics, and works cited or consulted page.

You are to design an anti-smoking poster. The poster must be a creative anti-smoking ad to attract people's attention. The poster must contain the following... -accurately communicate at least three health risks associated with smoking -address at least three pressures that influence people to start or continue smoking -a catchy slogan, phrase or short poem -hand drawn pictures, computer images or magazine images may be used
