As a potential representative of the country you and your partner (if you have one) chose, the Secretary of Tourism (teacher) has given you the task of creating a TRAVEL BOARD for the promotion of tourism. The Secretary of Tourism also provided you with a list of questions and tasks that must be on the TRAVEL BOARD. If approved, the Secretary of Tourism will allow you to present your TRAVEL BOARD at the annual INTERNATIONAL EVENT as your country’s representative. In order to prepare, you will research from the internet, library books and magazines to learn more about the country’s culture, climate, currency, religion, foods, housing, famous landmarks, etc. by finding the answers to the questions and information requests given to you by the Secretary before creating the TRAVEL BOARD. Upon completion, you will present your TRAVEL BOARD in front of a panel of potential tourists (classmates) and the Secretary of Tourism (teacher).

Write 15 sentences and draw or design a picture to match the descriptive sentences about your object.

A Spanish dialogue between two or more characters using the vocabulary from previous lessons.

You will create a "mini poster" for the phrases "(No) Me Gusta(n)". You will need 10 pictures: 5 things you like and 5 things you don't like. Be sure to include both singular and plural pictures. for example: 2 plural and 3 singular for "me gusta (n)" and 3 plural and 2 singular for "no me gusta(n)" Your "me gusta(n)" pictures will be pasted on green construction paper and your "no me gusta (n)" pictures will be pasted on red construction paper.

Spanish II - Community and neighborhood. Use of the present tense, the present progressive tense, and the affirmative and negative tú commands along with the vocabulary on community and neighborhood to create a childrens book or a power point presentation about your town and/or community.

You will choose an influential person of Hispanic background and conduct research on that person. This could be anyone from polictical figures, favorite artists, or sports players. In your research you find out basic information about the person as well as reasons why this person is important and what acomplishments and/ or contributions he/she has made.

Underneath your daily schedule give a brief description of your day. You favorite class, what you would need in a certain class, your easy and hard class, etc...

Students will draw and and label their family trees in Spanish. They will also include additional info about their families in Spanish and include at least 4 generations in their drawing.

Student will create and present a family tree or album using pictures of their "family" on a poster board or in an album. The pictures need to be described with information provided in the rubric. It will include at least 5 family members and one (of course) can be a pet! Also, one picture and description can be you! They will introduce themselves and describe five members of their family tree and themselves to the class (in Spanish, of course).

Student will create an original project choosing one of the following: Travel brochure, create a song, poetry book, or write a book for children.

An in-class presentation in collaboration with two or three other students using the preterit, imperfect, and present perfect tenses to form a conversation in Spanish about one's past life.

Nine situations are role played by Spanish 2 students demonstrating vocabulary and concepts studied up to Unidad 1.2.

Critical analysis of film seen in class.
