Miniature Stage Setting
Pick a scene from the play and create a diorama. A diorama is a miniature scene in a box. With your created diorama, you will write a one-page explanation of the scene and characters in the scene and why you believe this was an important scene in the play.

Character Diary Rubric
The student will write three diary entries from their character's point of view. Entries my span the entire book and showcase the character's hopes, dreams, problems, concerns, and frustrations. Each entry will be 1.5 pages in length and include a quote, properly cited, from the novel that signals the incident about which the character reacts.

Make several puppets to use in retelling one interesting scene in the book. Presentation should be 3-5 minutes in length.

Design a painting or sculpture illustrating a character or a specific scene from the book. On a 3x5 note card, include an explanation of what you created and why. Grading Scale 4=95 3=85 2=75 1=70
