Regular attendance and active class participation are expected from all students in this class. This rubric will be used to assess your performance in this area and calculated twice during the 9 week grading period.

Create a 9 x 12 full page zentangle design to include both geometric and organic shapes; implementing line, shape, balance, unity and emphasis.

Create a design that is symmetrically balanced on a 12 x 12 sheet of white drawing paper using a tracing technique. Finished design should be neat, colorful and symmetrical.

This rubric is used for one and/or two point drawings.

Create an optical illusion with the outline of your hand and arm using only lines and color.

~ Learning Goals ~ The students will develop skills in sculpture. The students will learn that sculpture can be collaborative and made in a variety of ways. The students will learn about different ways paper can be manipulated. The students will gain experience in collaboration. Recreate paper sculptures and learn the basics of this versatile medium. Transform a flat sheet of paper into a finished sculpture.
