Student is to create a power point slide(s) outlining important points about an assigned Topic. Student must present information & power point presentation to the class. The power point should be friendly to the audience members and allow the presenter an opportunity to present (not just read slides to the audience); student will give appropriate credit to where information was gathered.

The students are creating a poster representing an advertisement for healthy food choices. We have discussed in Health the advertisements that we see on T.V. and we have analyzed the different ways they try to grab our attention. We concluded that we do not seem to see many advertisements for healthy foods.

Students will be assigned groups. the group will research a mental health disorder and write a one page paper that will include signs, symptoms, and treatment for the disorder. Once the paper is complete the group will create a visual aid to highlight their findings.

Students will compose a Food Guide Pyramid collage. Students should find pictures of various foods from magazines and other resources, cut them out, and glue them in the correct category on the food guide pyramid on a small poster board.

The students will work on their own to put together a poster for display. The poster will contain relevant information directly related to the theme of Water Systems.

This rubric will determine how well the student followed specific instructions given on how to complete a health project, the student's overall creativity, and how the project was presented.
