Students in Professor Coley’s class must develop a group project to collect data using a student-created sensing system. Students in MAE311 will present their final projects to Mrs. Frady's 3rd - 5th grade gifted students.

You have been hired as a product designer at a new toy company. You must design and build a prototype of an original bubble-blowing tool using at least 5 different materials from home. It can be powered by any air source of your choice. You must include a blueprint, a prototype, and an advertising campaign.

6 rubric Popsicle Stick Bridge Building       popup preview  
Students will choose one bridge design (arch, beam, suspension, cantilever, truss, cable-stayed) to design and build a bridge using 200 popsicle sticks and Elmer's glue. The width of the bridge must be a minimum of 11 centimeters. The bridge must be long enough to span a distance of 50 centimeters. The height of the bridge must be a minimum of 12 centimeters. The bridge must be able to withstand at least 5 pounds of weight without failing or sagging more than 5 centimeters.
