For each of the 4 presented jazz dance figures (Jerome Robbins,Katherine Dunham,Fred Astaire,Jack Cole), each group will prepare a presentation over one figure that answers the following questions: Q1: Where did he/she train? What styles or genres of dance? Q2: What is he/she known for? Specific shows or movies? Q3: Describe his/her style of dance. Q4: Was he/she a choreographer, a performing dancer, or both? Q5: What kind of impact did he/she have on the dance community, or our society?

Jazz Warmup (1st song) Test

Students are asked to write a one to two page review or critique of a performance/visual piece of art. It should be clear what type of show/artwork was performed/created and the quality of the performance/artwork.
