Create a graffiti story. We are creating pictures to show the content with the support of the words. Students are to use their knowledge on the 6 characters you find in a good story. Graffiti stories, and stories alike, often offer a commentary on something that is happening in the world (social issue) or act as a cautionary tale (problem and consequences for our actions). Your graffiti story must have some sort of commentary on a greater issue.

Students are to research a world health issue of their choosing. They are to express key facts about their chosen issue, what the impact is on people and how Canada is helping to stop this issues or serve those who are experiencing it.

Students are to create a short story using the plot line elements as discussed in class and in previous activities. Story can be any length as long as there are details that support all parts of a plot line as well as develop strong characters.

Reflection of genre, messages and emotional responses to dances

Students are to create a dance in groups that is 3 to 5 minutes long. The dance needs to have a noticeable beginning, middle, and end. Students will apply the creative process to the composition of short dance pieces, using the elements of dance to communicate feelings and ideas. This dance must creatively tell a story that has a complete message for audience interpretation.

A research project including a written and visual component on a style of dance.

Create a mobile using the four story elements of your book.

Students have been assigned a date and a topic to teach the students a portion of a geography chapter.

Students are to work in partners or as individuals to analyze a story using a literary school of criticism or lens to view the literature.
