Rubric to grade ADI Data Collection and Analysis

Assessment of Group project in which students select area of energy conservation to research and present as a newscast

The students will work with a partner and put together a poster for display. The poster will contain relevant information directly related to the theme of Human Growth and Development. Students will provide minimum of 5 facts related to assigned topic in a creative and colorful poster. The poster will be designed on poster board (1/2 or full-sized poster board).

This rubric is to evaluate student understanding and design of a project investigating the effect of climate change on various biomes.

This rubric is meant to help guide in the creation of your PowerPoint presentation project. Each category in the far left column represents a component of the project that will be taken into consideration when calculating the final grade for this assignment. Review the rubric carefully before, during and after the creation of the PowerPoint presentation, to ensure that all intended elements of your powerpoint have been represented and all other criteria have been met.

The students will put together a poster to show during their oral presentation. The poster will contain information that the students collected regarding the person they were assigned. The group presentation must be aligned with the poster.

AP Environmental Science students research an environmental government policy and create a poster to present in class.

Students will be evaluated on the following criteria; Organization - commercial flows logically, Content - Commercial explains issue, Graphics - utilized, Eye Contact - focused on audience, Grammar- Correct, Clarity - audible

The objective of this assignment is for students to learn and review the timeline of the Earth’s geologic time scale over the last 542 million years, also known as the Phanerozoic Eon. Students are expected to make a timeline of the names of the eons, eras, periods and epochs. In addition to the the names, students need to include the appropriate timeframe for each part of this timeline and include at least 3 key events that occurred during each period of time.

Create a board game that reflects aspects of The Periodic Table. Your board game can be based on one that is already in existence such as Monopoly or Trivial Pursuit. Your final project should include written instructions, the game and all the pieces.

Students pairs must design a safety poster or brochure illustrating one of the safety rules discussed in class. Individual students could choose to write a science lab safety fictional story or create a cartoon on Lab safety.

This rubric can be used to evaluate science lab reports.
