Create a cause and Effect chain for finding five specific examples of cause and effect in a piece of literature. Students must tell why their example demonstrates cause and effect.

I can replace nouns with the correct subject, object and possessive pronouns. I can correctly use pronouns that are singular and plural.

Students create a Fact/Opinion chart for the selection they are reading. In the chart, they identify the facts and opinions and explain how they know they are facts and opinions.

Students will change the two words into contraction words. They will use one of the contraction words in a written sentence

This is a group activity for matching six causes to the resulting effect in given sentences.

The students will create their own place value octopus. They will create eight legs on their octopus using all the place value forms. Each number will be written in Standard Form, Expanded Form, Word Form, Place Value, and showing the number using the Base-ten Model.

Students will identify the 4 types of author's purpose from various materials and explain why that text fits the author's purpose they chose

In groups students will create a pizza using pronouns. The pizza must contain 6 pronouns. Students must use each pronoun in a complete sentence.

Break compound words apart into the two individual words that make it up. Illustrate those words and the compound word they create.

Students identified continents by their shape, placed continents in correct location on a map and labeled oceans according to location. Spelling of all continents and oceans are correct
