This rubric is a self assessment tool designed to guide you in developing and maintaining a personal budget. You will create a personal budget using the principles learned in Modules 1 and 2. You may use the Template provided, or another one that you prefer.

Students develop a business plan for a retail or service business that they are personally interested in starting. Each student will be responsible for all portions of the comprehensive plan that covers everythnig, including Executive Summary, Business Description, writing a mission statement, developing the marketing plan, etc.

Regular attendance and active class participation are expected from all students in this class. This rubric will be used to assess your performance in this area.

(20 POINTS - 4 points each section) Below is a chart that shows you exactly how your class participation grade will be determined. All students are expected to participate in class! I do understand that some students are shy and participate in ways other than class discussion. Forms of participation other than participating in class discussion (although this is a primary form of participation) include coming to me for extra help, giving other students feedback in class, adhering to the no-voice and no-phone rule, consistent attendance, and being able to answer in-class ASL dialogue from both the teacher and other students. NOTE: If you get to the point of having a fair/poor participation grade in one or more areas, it will probably be recommended that you withdraw from the class, as you probably will not be able to keep up with the material. If a student is absent, s/he losts points on the punctuality grade rubric also.

Students will know homework expectations which would include completeness, accuracy, requirements, legibility and time management.

Use this rubric for grading student papers. Can be customized for any subject.

Create a time management schedule to help you prepare for upcoming final exams. Include 2 goals and build a 3 week plan for achieving those goals

The personal ethics statement will be used to assess Program Learning Goal 6 - Personal, spiritual and professional development. Synthesis of education, Biblical principles and experience, mastery of common body of business knowledge, individual choice and responsibility in assessing their personal, spiritual and professional growth , commitment to continual learning, in part student initiated

The final project of this class is a “senior thesis”, in which the student will address the application of their ENTIRE time at IBC and future ministry.
