This rubric is for a grade 7 Drawstring Bag project in which different sewing techniques were demonstrated: Pinning, Cutting, Ironing, Measuring, Machine Sewing of seams: straight stitches, and Pulling Cord properly through both sides of openings.

Research an Entrepreneur, create a Presentation and give an oral presentation.

Hand Sewing Projects

Write a picture book for young children. Use language and include images appropriate for young readers. Your story should be at least ten pages long and should include the animal that your researched. Your story must have a clear beginning, middle and end.

FACS 7 class will create felt hand sewing projects.

Students use old out-dated items to create something new!

The students will create and plan for a child's 4th birthday party.

Students will create a pillow cover for their selected pillow form.

You will be given ingredients to compile an edible creation in two labs. You must use at least some of each ingredient in your final product. A designated refrigerator, spices on demonstration table may be used.Ingredients do not leave those areas and you can not take all of one ingredient. Take a tray and measure your ingredients on the tray. May use the computer for ideas, but remember it all must get done in the time frame. Dishes on either side of sink is an automatic disqualification.

This rubric will be used to score each group on their planning, preparation, and presentation of cupcakes during Cupcake Wars.
