Middle School Interactive Math Notebook

Student companies will present Investor Plan to prospective investors.

Students will create a story board for a TV commercial about the No Kid Hungry project. Story board contains 6-8 pages in a PowerPoint presentation format.

Using an online comic strip generator or drawing by hand, each student will create a comic strip to show how to find slope. Design a comic strip that includes a minimum of 5 panels about the No Kid Hungry Project

The student will create a multi media presentation to represent their research on a topic of interest dealing with the influence of the media. This could be a power point, brochure, catalog ad or poster format.

Students are to create a film based on a short story they have written. The film may be footage, photo montage, or a combination of the two. The narration of the film must consist of the reading of the short story. Sound effects may be added. The footage/photos must relate to the text of the story.

Students are to write a short story that demonstrates their understanding of the stages of plot and the characteristics of a short story.

Students are to write a poem using creative language and ideas. The poem represents the NO Kid Hungry theme

Student persuasive essay that uses facts, reasons and details to back up their argument. TEK-ELA 4.19 Students will write persuasive texts to influence the attitudes or actions of a specific audience on specific issues. 4.19A Students will write persuasive essays for appropriate audiences that establish a position and use supporting details.
