OBJECTIVE: Write a creative "recipe for spring" that includes 8 ingredients, measurements, and instructions that include step-by-step directions, time/order words, and kitchen related nouns, verbs, and adverbs.

This recipe will be included in our class cookbook. Each student needs to submit a recipe from their culture. They need to explain why this recipe is from their culture.

Write a Personal Narrative Essay about an memorable Christmas. Describe your event in sequential order. Include your viewpoint and personal reactions in your personal narrative such dialogue, emotions, and sensory details. Your personal narrative should be at least three paragraphs including a strong opening and closing. This piece should be an example or your best writing and your neatest work.

Notebook check used once each nine weeks.

Student will create a billboard to entice the British citizens to move to their assigned colony.

Students will develop a creative list of ingredients for the spring season, match them with cooking verbs and adverbs using cook books as resources, develop an ingredient list including units of measurement, write sequential recipe steps using appropriate time order words, and complete a neat, finished recipe card.
