Design a hand-washing poster to display in restrooms throughout the school building. The poster must contain at least 1 factual statements pertaining to the hand-washing and the spread of disease. Students will work in pairs to create the poster on an 8.5x11 sheet of paper. Poster may be computer generated or hand created but must contain an original slogan and art work.

This rubric is for grading student's written essay.

Each student group will research a disease, illness, or condition of the instructor's choosing and relay what was learned to the class. Information on the disease should include the physiology and etiology of the condition, as well as discussion of diagnostics, nursing assessments (subjective & objective), medical management, nursing diagnosis and planning and nursing interventions & special consideration. Rationales for nursing interventions should be explained and discussed. Presentations can be in any format that the student group desires. A written summary of the presentation and research is to be handed in, and bibliography/references are to be included for assessment.

Students are required to perform nursing skills with 100 % proficiency. In addition to skills performance of skills, students must use critical thinking skills to include indirect care measures:safety, infection control, comfort measures, resident rights.

You are required to write a two page report on your field trip or guest lecturer's talk. Describe what you learned and how it relates to the subject matter in the textbook.
