Interns will have the opportunity to make a game. The game can be an original concept, or an adaptation of an existing concept. The student will also write three therapeutic outcomes of the game. The student will train other departmental staff, volunteers and interns on how to implement the game.

Interns will be given the opportunity to take charge of the planning of one of the monthly events or theme days held on one of our units. This includes planning, creating an invitation/flyer, promoting the event, decorating, and implementing the special event.

The intern will have the opportunity to review the QI process at Waverly, and participate in development of a QI project. The student will write up and submit the QI report, and speak at the QI meeting about the project. Student will also be asked to complete a QI survey of the department (including chart audits and group facilitation audits) and present findings at a TR staff meeting.

Students must create a 15 minute in-service on a relevant topic to be presented to TR staff in a staff meeting. They must include a hand-out and a sign-in sheet with their final presentation.
