Students will create an infographic focusing on their assigned state symbol.

Construct a mobile about Respect. The mobile will have four illustrated cards, you must include an illustration of you having respect for yourself, others, and the environment. The back of each card will have a few sentences explaining how their illustration shows respect.

Read the story about Stephanie. Use the LIKE model to help Stephanie keep a positive self-image. Write a conclusion to the story about Stephanie, be sure to include an example from the LIKE model.

The students had to create a flow map of summary using story elements. The first box has to include the main character and his/her desire. The second box must include some desire of the main character. The second box must include the problem the character encounters. The third box must include the attempts to solve the problem. The fourth box must be the solution to the problem, and there must be a paragraph that accurately summarizes the story with all of the above elements.

Students will "assume" different points of view. Students will create short, descriptive pieces of writing reflecting point of view of an object associated with their holiday break. 60 pts possible.

Locate a challenging vocabulary word from your independent reading book. Then, use context clues to infer what the challenging word means.

Students will write a Explanatory essay from the point of view of a Lenape Indian.

Used for grading poems written by students.
