Pizza Fractions!
Pizza Fractions! Students will partition 2 circles and a rectangle into 1/2, 1/3 or 1/4. Then assemble the toppings and correctly label each part. As they share with the group, students should use appropriate math vocabulary. MCC2.G.3 Partition circles and rectangles into two, three, or four equal shares, describe the shares using the words halves, thirds, etc., and describe the whole as two halves, etc. Recognize that equal shares of identical wholes need not have the same shape.
