World War I Unit Assessment

You will demonstrate an understanding of World War I, including the outbreak of war, alliances, U.S. involvement, the results of war, and the Treaty of Versailles. You may choose which of the activities you will complete, but must include all of the requirements in order to be successful.

Day 4: Treaty of Versailles

You must demonstrate you have an understanding of the end of the war and the Treaty of Versailles. Be sure to include who, where, when, and what was decided at the Treaty. Also, give 3 reasons why WWI inevitably set up World War II.

Day 1: War Begins

Students can choose one of the 3 options to demonstrate they have an understanding of why World War I began in Europe, explaining at least 3 reasons we discussed in class. You must also demonstrate a knowledge of the two alliances, the Allies and the Central Powers.

You must demonstrate you have an understanding of why the United States entered World War I, giving at least 3 reasons with supporting details. You must also be persuasive, convincing the reader or listener that it was a necessary action.

You must demonstrate you have an understanding of the uses of propaganda during the war. In each task, you must show characteristics of propaganda and use at least 2 types we discussed n class. You must also be persuasive, convincing the reader or listener that the U.S. people must conserve food and resources during the war.
