Using Google Maps/Google Earth, plot out a logical trip that would take you to all these destinations (stay ground-based as much as possible) and provide a short description of why this place is important in Canadian history. Finally, groups will be asked to briefly present their trip to the class. The purpose of this project is to analyze the Political and Economic systems of a country and determine how they interact. You will work in groups of 2-3 based on the number of students. Bonus: Can you describe how the political system is a product of the economic system or how the economic system is a product of the political system? You have a choice of whether to prepare posters or PowerPoint. If you want to prepare a poster, you need permission from the teacher.

Develop a presentation to share the most important information about your economic or political system from the text to the class through an interactive, engaging project or presentation. You must include vocabulary, and have the class do some kind of written assignment or activity. The PowerPoint and teacher notes are available to provide assistance. You must be able to determine and explain: Why do you think a certain country has the political/economic system? What political or economic system do you think is best for that country.

Students had the opportunity to choose any one of the following options: Rock Cycle Picture Collage, a poem, a rap song, a diary entry of a rock traveling through the rock cycle, a mobile of the three types of rocks, or a comic strip of a rock traveling through the rock cycle.
