Learning Targets: I can choose, investigate, and present an indigenous culture of Latin America to my classmates. I can share in detail one of the most interesting traditions of my chosen culture.

Students prepared a presentation about three of the most important people in their lives. The presentation was spoken in front of the class, and each person had a minimum of 30 seconds or 6 sentences, and memorizing the presentation was required. To make it engaging, students also prepared a "visual" for each person about whom they spoke (i.e. pictures, personal mementos, etc.)

Learning Targets: I can investigate and explain the origins of the celebration of Día de los muertos through a visual and oral presentation, I can illustrate some of the most important traditions of this celebration pertaining to one Spanish-speaking country of my choice, and I can create an artifact that represents a tradition associated with El Día de los muertos.
