Use this rubric to correctly master the process of answering short answer questions. Read the descriptions to understand what is expected in order to recieve a satisfactory score.

You MUST Write your journal using Google Docs. and "share it with me. This rubric evaluates the students ability to incorporate historical facts to create an intresting, and thought provoking journal entry.

Student self-assessments about topics or concepts learned through reading text, viewing illustrations, and taking notes in class.

Using the Declaration of Independence as your guide, create your own Declaration of Independence from parents, school, America, etc. You will be assessed on how well you follow the organization of the original Declaration of Independence, editing for conventions, word choice and ideas, and your presentation of the final document.

Research and create an information report with a partner about a topic of interest. You must have at least three subheadings of information. You may choose the format in which you present your information. This assessment rubric is for your research and compostiton only. You will also receive a rubric for the presentation of your information once you have spoken to the teacher about how you want to present.

Student is to create a power point presentation of 10 - 12 slides (excluding introductory and concluding page) that goes into more depth of some aspect of this time period/era than what was covered in the textbook or class discussion. Slides are to include both historically accurate information and pictures. Student will provide teacher with handout of six slides per page plus teacher/instructional notes with information you will verbally add when the slide is presented. Student must present information & power point presentation to the class. Information must be historically accurate and in depth; student will give appropriate credit to where information was gathered - NO PLAGERISM. Must be STUDENT ORIGINAL.

Choose an event or a person who has impacted US History. Review the requirements of the project and complete the project.
